Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a General Education Teacher specializing in English Language Arts for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role is designated for an onsite educator committed to fostering literacy and learning in a supportive school environment. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the academic growth of students, using proven instructional techniques and adapting to diverse needs in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Active Louisiana Teaching License with required endorsements for English Language Arts Previous experience as a general education or ELA teacher in a school setting strongly preferred Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and effective instructional strategies Excellent classroom management and communication skills Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction in English Language Arts to students in line with curriculum guidelines Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments Collaborate with school staff and administrators to support student achievement Participate in professional development and maintain all licensure requirements throughout the assignment Communicate proactively with parents and guardians regarding student progress Adapt and differentiate instruction for students with varying learning needs
