English as a Second Language Instructor

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor to inspire and empower adult learners in their journey to achieve fluency and confidence in English. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on adult education and language acquisition. This is a summer position about 10 hours per week 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Duties Develop comprehensive ESL curricula tailored to adult learners' proficiency levels, incorporating best practices in instructional design and adult education principles Deliver engaging lessons using a variety of learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), to enhance student engagement and track progress Facilitate classroom activities that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives and support individual student goals Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting instruction accordingly Skills Expertise in curriculum development tailored for adult language learners and literacy education Strong communication skills to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds Classroom management abilities to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment Experience with LMS platforms and learning technology tools for instructional delivery and assessment tracking Proficiency in instructional design, lesson planning, and tutoring techniques for adult language education Bilingual skills are a must for supporting bilingual learners effectively Demonstrated experience working with students in classroom settings Join us as an ESL Instructor to ignite a passion for lifelong learning while helping adults unlock new opportunities through language mastery.
