DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY

Visitation School seeks a part-time (0.6 FTE) 6-12 English Teacher beginning August 2026. The ideal candidate for this role: Is a lifelong learner who is passionate about the educational experiences of adolescent girls. Is current and competent in the theories and pedagogy of English instruction. Enjoys collaborating with students and colleagues in and beyond the English Department. Possesses strong communication skills. Has the ability and energy to create an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment where students are known, loved, and challenged to be their best selves in and outside of the classroom. QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in a English-related field. A minimum of three years of teaching experience.

Preferred:

A Master's degree and prior teaching experience in an independent school.
