More than 30 Starting Salary Range $37,000-$58,000 DESCRIPTION Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Savage is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled Language Arts teacher to join our faculty team! St. John's is a Catholic school committed to providing a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters academic excellence, moral formation, and spiritual growth. In this position, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding our 5th-8th grade students to become lifelong learners who are rooted in Catholic values and committed to making a positive impact in the world. You will work collaboratively with other faculty members to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic success, critical thinking, and creativity.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction in accordance with state and diocesan standards Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and respect for others Build strong relationships with students and families, providing ongoing communication and support Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that integrates faith, values, virtues, current standards, and real-world experiences Foster a safe and welcoming environment that supports the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all students Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in best practices in education Actively contribute to the life of the school community, including participation in school-wide events, committees, and campus initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS
degree Current Minnesota teaching license Practicing Catholic who respects and exemplifies Catholic values both in and out of the classroom Classroom experience working with elementary school students is preferred however new graduates should apply Ability to incorporate educational technology according to best educational practices Engage and inspire all students, honoring their diverse strengths and challenges Strong communication and organizational skills to support effective engagement with parents, other faculty, staff, and the overall parish and school community Ability to create a positive, productive class environment Promote hands-on, inquiry based learning Ability to pass all appropriate background checks Passion for teaching and a commitment to ongoing professional development
