English Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a fun, energetic, and passionate ELA Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher‑Powered School, our educators collaboratively lead key decisions, and this role includes serving as a Curriculum Committee Leader. You will help guide school governance, shape curriculum, and contribute to a shared vision for student success. As an environmental learning school, we integrate nature, sustainability, and outdoor experiences into daily instruction. In this role, you will create a positive and engaging learning environment, develop and implement meaningful lesson plans, assess student progress, and support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Use instructional design techniques to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and other evaluations
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
- Mentor and tutor students as needed to provide additional support
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Strong knowledge of subject matter
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and techniques
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools/software
