See https://www.asdnh.org/careers for additional information about openings at ASD. 7th Grade English Teacher Middle School | Full-Time ASD is seeking a seventh grade teacher English program. This person will be responsible for teaching world literature, grammar, vocabulary, and writing. They will design creative and engaging lessons, units, projects, and classroom activities to develop analytical reading, refined and diverse writing skills, critical thinking, and poised speaking skills. At ASD, we believe in cultivating a strong sense of curiosity and inquiry in our students. As the 7th Grade English Teacher, you will be an essential part of this mission — encouraging students to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and think creatively. You will also work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to integrate technology, interdisciplinary connections, and real-world applications into your teaching.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering strong instruction in language arts aligned to NH State Standards The strongest candidates will also bring a passion for literature, a disciplined and rigorous approach to writing, and a genuine gift for relating to middle schoolers. Using a range of assessment strategies to inform instruction and support student growth Developing engaging learning tasks that build both content knowledge and habits of scholarship Collaborating with grade-level colleagues to plan and refine instruction Creating inclusive learning environments accessible to students of all backgrounds and abilities Maintaining open communication with students and families
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required (in education or english preferred) Teaching certification preferred At least two years of classroom experience preferred (middle school is ideal) Mastery of and enthusiasm for the content area Must pass a criminal background check as required by law Salary starting at $43,500.
