Probationary 1.0 English as a New Language Teacher for 2026-2027
Start Date:
September 1, 2026
Salary and Benefits:
According to the SCTA Contract - at least Schedule 1, Step 1 or $57,677.00 depending on experience and transcripts. Competitive benefits.
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
ESOL/TESOL NYS
Certification. (Dual certifications in Special Education a plus). Teaching experience and familiarity with the culturally relevant needs of English Language Learners and Emergent Multilingual Learners in both High School and Elementary School level environments. Knowledge of state and federal standards as it pertains to ELL's. Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Awareness and experience with relative technology software programs. Creativity, attention to cultural awareness and insight into core curriculum. Our district serves a diverse community where there are numerous native languages spoken among our student population.
