We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to identify a passionate and experienced ELA teacher to join our High School team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing school and help shape our curriculum and instructional approach from the ground up. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Arts Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering students' literacy, writing, and critical thinking skills through engaging instruction and innovative teaching methods. This role offers an opportunity to inspire students in developing their communication abilities and appreciation for literature and language arts within a supportive learning environment.
Duties:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design and learning technology tools. Plan and delivery engaging and rigorous lessons that align with Common Core State Standards and school-wide goals Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and performance Use data to inform instructional decisions and personalize learning for individual students Deliver engaging classroom instruction that promotes literacy education, creative writing, and analytical skills across diverse student populations. Utilize assessment strategies, including standardized testing and formative evaluations, to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Mentor students through academic advising, tutoring sessions, and behavior management strategies to support individual learning needs. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and organizational skills. Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practicesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Prior classroom experience demonstrating strong teaching skills in literacy education and classroom management. Proficiency in instructional design, lesson planning, classroom management, research methodologies, and the use of learning technology platforms. Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively and collaborate with staff. Experience working with diverse learners including those in private schools or special education settings is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
