Job Description

Job Description We are a New York-based academic enrichment and college preparation organization seeking an experienced SAT English Instructor to teach SAT Reading & Writing . The instructor will work with motivated students in one-on-one and small group settings, focusing on content mastery, test strategy, and measurable score improvement. Responsibilities Teach SAT Reading & Writing using the current Digital SAT format Conduct instruction in: One-on-one tutoring Small group classes Diagnose student strengths and weaknesses and design targeted lesson plans Teach effective strategies for: Reading comprehension Grammar and language conventions Timing, pacing, and accuracy Assign, review, and provide feedback on practice questions and mock exams Track student progress and communicate updates with academic coordinators Maintain a professional, structured, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Prior experience teaching or tutoring SAT English (required) Strong familiarity with the Digital SAT Reading & Writing section Ability to clearly explain complex reading and grammar concepts Excellent communication and classroom management skills Bachelor's degree or higher preferred Comfortable working with high-performing, goal-oriented students Preferred Qualifications Proven record of student score improvements High personal SAT English score Experience teaching advanced or accelerated students Ability to lead small group classes independently Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $40-$110 , based on experience, results, and class format Flexible scheduling Consistent teaching opportunities during peak testing seasons Long-term collaboration opportunities for strong instructors How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter describing your SAT English teaching experience and recent student results.
