LTS ENGLISH TEACHER
Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Salary/Pay Scale $217.50/day Job Description The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a long-term substitute secondary English teacher (Grades 7-12) for an appointment beginning in September 2026 and going through mid-October 2026. This position will be for 10th grade English. We are seeking an individual to join our top-notch English department that is highlighted by our strong annual Regents and AP results. The department also boasts many high-level learning opportunities through AP Language and College Composition. The Jr./Sr. High School has 550+ students in grades 7-12, 70+ staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. We look forward to hiring an individual that will have a positive impact on our school community. Job Qualifications The Ideal Candidate will: Minimally have
NYS 7-12 ELA
Certification Prepare and teach 10th grade English in accordance with NYS curriculum and standards Prepare and instruct literacy rich English courses Prepare and instruct academic support for English students Stay current in research-based instructional practices and pedagogy, NYS standards, assessment, curriculum, and Response to Intervention practices Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning Promote social emotional learning and restorative practices Application Procedure Le Roy Central School District requires the following information at the time of application: Completed Online Application Resume Cover Letter Copies of certification or verification from the TEACH website College transcripts At least three recent professional letters of recommendation Method - All required information should be filed electronically through the online web recruitment system.
