DESCRIPTION

A middle school campus in Washington Heights is seeking an experienced Humanities Teacher to cover an 8th grade leave. This role includes teaching integrated ELA and Social Studies, with a strong emphasis on structured lesson planning, relationship-building, and consistent classroom management. The position may involve co-teaching or leading a classroom independently, depending on experience. You will collaborate with grade-level teams and support students through differentiated instruction and culturally responsive practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience teaching middle school Humanities (ELA/Social Studies) Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills Ability to build strong relationships with students and families Charter school or urban education experience preferred Bilingual Spanish is a plus Qualified candidates will be contacted immediately.
