Job Description

Middle/High School English Teacher (Full-Time, Probationary)
Start Date:
September 2026 The Oakfield-Alabama Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered English Teacher to join our Middle/High School faculty. Oakfield-Alabama is a small rural school district in Western New York committed to academic excellence, strong relationships, and providing meaningful opportunities for all students.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction to middle and/or high school students. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student success. Participate in school and district initiatives and contribute to the school community.
Qualifications:
New York State certification in English Language Arts (or eligibility for certification). Strong instructional, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students.
