Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing a positive and structured classroom environment that engages students and motivates them to succeed Assuming responsibility for the academic progress of students with a high sense of urgency and ownership toward quantifiable results Collaborating with colleagues to plan units and lessons and develop expertise in implementing instruction Fulfilling the school's mission to educate the whole child- mind, body, and spirit Taking accountability for student learning and for meeting classroom performance goals Using tests, assessments, classroom performance, and other designated evaluation and diagnostic tools to assess the progress of students, and drive instruction and intervention Creating and communicating with families of students in a positive and respectful manner Participating in ongoing professional developments sessions to grow as an instructional leader The ideal candidate will have: A deep respect for and commitment to preserving and building upon the legacy of urban Catholic education Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers both school-wide and across the network A willingness to be reflective and receive feedback in order to grow as an educator Technological proficiency and adaptability Excellent communication skills Flexibility to multi-task, coupled with the ability to set priorities and follow through with results Relentlessness and willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure success
Position Requirements:
Respect for and appreciation of the Catholic faith and Catholic education An uncompromising belief that all students can learn Bachelor's degree or higher Must pass a background check
Early Career Teachers:
Teachers with 0-3 years of experience will be paid no less than $42,000. After three years, teachers have the opportunity to earn at least $50,000.
Experienced Teachers:
We have a pay scale that allows for maximum flexibility when a candidate transfers from another school or district. Salaries are determined based on years of teaching and school leadership experience, and evaluation of instructional mastery and mission alignment through an in-person demo lesson and interview. Opportunities for promotion occur every 3-5 years based on clear and published criteria, with the potential for up to 17% increases in those promotion years. Range $42,000 — $60,000
