Full-time The Opportunity Teaching Personnel Newcastle is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering both English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential literacy skills while encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of texts. Your Role Will Include Delivering engaging and structured English lessons that challenge and motivate learners Supporting students in developing analytical, writing, and comprehension skills Tracking student performance and implementing strategies to support progress Creating a positive and respectful learning environment Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English department Contributing to extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or revision sessions We Are Looking For A qualified teacher with QTS A strong academic background in English or a related discipline The ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities Effective behaviour management skills A proactive and reflective approach to teaching Commitment to continuous professional development Applications are welcome from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators.
