Full-Time, 12 Months- Must allow flexibility according to the needs of the program. May include evenings and weekends for special events.

POSITION SUMMARY
Nazareth Prep seeks a passionate and student-centered educator to serve as a Social Studies for grades 9-12. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that challenge students academically while supporting their personal growth and development. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality instruction, monitoring student progress, maintaining a positive classroom environment, communicating effectively with families, and contributing to the overall mission and culture of the school.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based English instruction tailored to diverse learners. Use varied strategies, differentiation, and technology to promote literacy, critical thinking, and engagement. Assess progress, use data to guide instruction, and maintain accurate records. Classroom Environment Create an inclusive, respectful classroom with clear expectations. Build strong relationships that support student growth and accountability. Student Support & Engagement Support students' academic and personal development. Collaborate on interventions, foster resilience, and model school values. Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with families about student progress. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings, events, and professional development. School Community Support and uphold the school's mission and culture. Participate in school activities and complete additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION
Required Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related content area. Strong classroom management, organizational and communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and support diverse learners. Proficiency in using technology for instruction Commitment to Nazareth Prep mission and values. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and obtain required clearances (Act 33, Act 34, and FBI). Preferred Pennsylvania Secondary Teaching Certification in an appropriate content area. Master's Degree in Education or related field. 3-5 years of high school teaching experience; AP experience preferred.
