Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year as a High School English Teacher. This position is perfect for educators energized by the travel experience and fulfilling work in a supportive school setting. Located near Saint George, SC, this contract assignment offers a full-time schedule, with 40 hours per week in a vibrant educational environment where your passion for English literature and language arts can spark enthusiasm in students. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active teaching license in General Education (high school level), with flexibility on state of issuance Ability and willingness to secure South Carolina teaching credentials via SCDE reciprocity before August start date Prior experience teaching English at the high school level is highly valued Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Enthusiasm for guiding teens through both classic and contemporary literature
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Inspire students to build strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills Foster an inclusive, positive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback Collaborate with colleagues, participate in school functions, and contribute to ongoing professional development
