We're seeking dynamic educators for two contract positions teaching middle-level English in a vibrant, supportive school setting. If you're ready to share your enthusiasm for literature and language with engaged middle school students, this opportunity near Wagener, SC, could be a great fit. As a General Education English teacher, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team, utilize creative instructional strategies, and help students develop the skills to succeed academically and beyond.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in English (Middle Grades or applicable endorsement) Experience teaching middle school students preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to diversity, equity, and fostering an inclusive classroom environment Flexibility and responsiveness in a collaborative, fast-paced educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans for middle-level English Language Arts Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension, and writing skills Support students' social and emotional growth while maintaining an orderly classroom Engage in ongoing collaboration with faculty and staff Participate in parent communication and conferences as needed Implement individual accommodations and differentiated instruction for diverse learners
