Physical Location of Position (City) Posting Text Northern State University's Center for Statewide E-Learning invites applications for a Master Teacher of English position. Working from the teacher's respective community in South Dakota or from the NSU campus, this expert teacher will design and deliver high-quality instructional elements, offer feedback, and create academic assistance. The teacher will connect with students across the state, managing courses to fill critical unmet local needs, making benchmark English education available to all S.D. high school students. Successful candidates should be confident in their subject mastery, well-versed in content standards, and dedicated to sharing their instructional skills with students across the state. Candidates with a master's degree or enrolled in a master's degree program with at least 3 years high school teaching experience are preferred. A successful candidate without a master's degree will be required to enter a master's degree program. The successful candidate must hold a current South Dakota teaching certificate or be eligible for licensure. The successful candidate must reside in South Dakota. The 10 month appointment begins August 1, 2026. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
