•COMMUNICATION, GENERAL (COMG) Department Industrial Technology Position Type Faculty Employment Status Term Salary Minimum•$58,760.00 / Per 9 Months Open Date 11/10/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Effective Date of Employment Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality instruction to address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be and effective instructor and the aptitudes to assist both new and returning students achieve their educational goals and objectives. Demonstrate knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success. Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds. Ability to plan a course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Successful teaching experience is required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field AND five (5) years of teaching experience. Job Duties Job Duty Teach courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Make continuous effort to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes. Provide students with a written and accessible course syllabus that follows the course syllabus guidelines and facilitates a clear understanding between student and instructor of content goals, requirements, expectations, evaluation methods and schedule of work. Hold scheduled, posted virtual or physical office hours of at least one (1) hour daily and be available for and encourage conferences with students so there is a clearer understanding of the students work and the possibility of improvement.
