We are seeking a candidate with a focus on English, Reading, and Writing. The successful candidate will work in the General Education Department under the General Education Coordinator to prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students. Minimum Qualifications of a Full-time Instructor in English The minimum educational requirement is a Master's degree in English Literature, Composition, or closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the specific area preferred. Primary Duties of a Full-Time Instructor in English Must be able to teach face-to-face in Stafford, TX. Must have a minimum of 1 year teaching higher education English courses at a college or university. Must have previous experience working with college/university LMS's in course shell creation and/or setup. Multiple positions are available. Strong teaching skills. Work availability in the mornings Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students Prepare course materials Advise students on academic curricula and careers. Serve on academic, accreditation, or administrative committees. Other duties as assigned Work permit required. A criminal background check will be conducted prior to hiring. This role, in some circumstances, requires standing for extended periods of time while teaching and using equipment such as a whiteboard to perform teaching duties.
