Job Description
Position Summary A Secondary School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to students in grades 9-12. The teacher fosters a positive learning environment, supports students' academic and personal growth, and collaborates with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure student success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and school standards Deliver engaging instruction using a variety of teaching strategies Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs Integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction Prepare students for assessments, exams, and post-secondary readiness Assessment & Evaluation Design formative and summative assessments Provide timely, constructive feedback Maintain accurate and up-to-date grade records Analyze student data to guide instruction Classroom Management Establish clear expectations and classroom procedures Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Address student behavior in accordance with school policies Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary initiatives Professional Responsibilities Maintain appropriate certification and licensure Uphold school policies and ethical standards Serve as advisor, mentor, or club sponsor as assigned Participate in school committees and extracurricular activities
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in the subject area or a related field Strong classroom management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at timesPreferred:
Master's degree Experience teaching at the secondary level Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong content knowledge in the assigned subject area Ability to engage and motivate adolescents Proficiency with educational technology platforms Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational and time management skillsJob Type:
Full-time Pay:
$35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per yearBenefits:
