Job Description:
The Department of Environmental Science at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time instructor to teach the laboratory section of Understanding Environmental Systems. The course is the introductory course which explores the interactions among the Earth's ecological systems and human systems to better understand systems dynamics and interventions that lead to a sustainable future. Students will integrate principles from the physical, biological, and social sciences as we examine causes and seek solutions for current environmental issues through critical analysis and examination of current events. Topics include natural resource conservation, sustainable development, agriculture and food systems, biodiversity, renewable energy, global climate change, environmental health, and environmental justice. The lab section for course is held on Mondays 12:00 - 3:00 pm in person. Some labs are off campus and driving a 14-person passenger van. The lab instructor will work with the course instructor in terms of lab material and grading. Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in Environmental Science or related field before December 15, 2025
