Job Description

Iowa Conservatory is seeking a licensed Social Studies educator to join our academic faculty for the 2026-27 school year.
This role includes teaching:
Middle School Global Studies US History Government/Economics Position Highlights Three mornings per week Small, engaged classes Curriculum and core resources already in place Competitive compensation Discussion-based, student-centered environment Contract Calendar Fall semester: August 24 - December 18, 2026 Spring semester: February 1 - May 28, 2027 Required faculty pre-service hours during the week of August 17 Thanksgiving and Spring Break aligned with University of Iowa calendar Academic faculty are not on contract during J-Term (January 4-29, 2027) Qualifications Iowa Social Studies endorsement required Comfort teaching middle and high school students Apply by sending a resume and short note to beth.brown@iowaconservatory.org
