The individual in this position will each a principles of farm management undergraduate course in the Agricultural & Food Business Management program. Work includes creating a syllabus, delivering lectures, grading student work, coordinating and evaluating student projects, and advising and mentoring students in the class. Qualifications Required Advanced degree in agricultural economics, economics, agribusiness management, business management, or closely related field of study Excellent writing skills Demonstrated knowledge of farm and agribusiness management. Ability to teach farm and agribusiness management related courses at the collegiate level Ability to organize and manage student projects Experience working in culturally diverse environments Experience advising/mentoring Preferred Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the collegiate level Experience teaching farm and agribusiness management related courses at the collegiate level Experience organizing and managing student projects About the Department The Department of Applied Economics (APEC) supports the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Science's (CFANS) and the University of Minnesota's land-grant mission through its teaching, research, and extension programs. APEC's teaching programs include Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Economics and Agricultural & Food Business Management, and Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Applied Economics. Its research and extension focus are broadly defined as Food Systems; Development, Growth, & Trade; Environmental & Resource Economics; and Public Sector Economics.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$9,500 - $11,500 per semester; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
