DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIIES

Wildlife Biology1 5 5 0 Spring 1- Course is offered online as needed In addition to preparing for and teaching courses, the adjunct instructor will be responsible for the following: Developing field sites for lab instruction in coordination with Tribe, the Tribe's Department of Natural Resources, and other agencies as required.
MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Forestry or closely related discipline 2 years (24 months) experience in Forestry or a closely-related field Ability to courses listed in Table 1(or a subset thereof) Attentive to student safety Commitment to honoring Tribal sovereignty and Tribal and ceded lands in teaching practiceDESIRED QULIFICATIONS
Teaching experience Master of Science in Forestry or closely related discipline 3 years (36 months) experience in Forestry or a closely-related field Experience working with Tribal resource agencies Person hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. An offer of employment will not carry with it any responsibility or obligation on the part of the district to sponsor an H1-B visa. Benefits Information Adjunct faculty must work two (2) consecutive quarters at 50% or more of full-time academic load in order to qualify for benefits (based on instructional hours only). Once determined to be eligible, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the beginning of the quarter. Medical, dental, life and long term disability insurance benefits are provided as currently administered under Public Employees Benefits Board; TIAA-Cref retirement plan or WA State Retirement Plan; leave accruals and usage are governed by the faculty master contract.
