IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Incumbents must apply for and obtain an Associate Teacher Permit through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. To maintain employment, incumbents are required to complete 105 hours of professional growth activities and renew the Associate Teacher Permit every five years. There is no limit to the number of times the permit may be renewed. Fees related to obtaining and renewing the Associate Teacher Permit are at the employee's expense. Requirements mandated by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start.
