JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Biological Sciences at California State University San Bernardino invites applications for a Graduate Assistant (GA) position. This position provides an excellent opportunity for graduate students to gain valuable experience in both research and supervising students in a classroom, workshop, or laboratory while contributing to the department's mission.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Graduate Assistants will work under the supervision of faculty members in the Department of Biological Sciences. The GA will support faculty research initiatives, evaluating student work and examinations, preparing course materials, and help foster student learning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Enrollment in the MS in Biology degree program at California State University, San Bernardino. Students enrolled in other graduate programs may be eligible Must maintain academic eligibility throughout employment period (3.0 GPA or higher) Must be able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff and other students Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work independently
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in hand by time of appointment
PREFERRED
 QUALIFICATIONS Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with CSUSB. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment.
