Job Description

ASSISTANT PADDLE PROFESSIONAL - LA GRANGE COUNTRY CLUB
La Grange Country Club, founded in 1899, is a private golf, swim and racquets club located in La Grange, Illinois. The Club enjoys a full active membership with over 490 families in all membership categories. The club has a thriving racquets program for both adults and juniors featuring 4 paddle courts with a very popular Paddle Hut. The LGCC membership are great supporters of their respective leagues with 11 men's teams and 6 ladies' teams.
Position:
The club seeks to hire an Assistant Paddle Professional that will continue to grow the sport among all who want to participate. We are seeking someone who not only is skilled in teaching paddle tennis but also someone who possesses the organizational, innovational and interpersonal skills required to assist in growing this very active program. This position will be available from September through Mid-May.
Job Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist in the organization and execution of men's and women's league team drills and matches; Attend women's and men's league matches to support players and offer timely feedback; Organize in-house social events, tournaments and other paddle events; Encourage participation of members new to paddle tennis by organizing and running social events, drills, clinics or other innovative programs; Develop junior paddle programming to promote the game to our youngest members; Maintain a visible presence at the paddle courts during peak times of activity; Work closely with the Head Paddle Professional to ensure membership satisfaction; Support all program operations and fill in when the Head Paddle Professional is unavailable.
Compensation:
Base salary $15,000 - $20,000 per season. Lesson income is hourly based on experience.
Qualifications:
PPTA certification preferred; Experience in both playing and teaching paddle tennis; Strong organizational and communication skills; and The ability to create and grow a new paddle program by fostering a welcoming, fun environment that appeals to both men and women at all ability levels. Available during the day, evenings and weekends. This position will be available from September through Mid-May.
