Job Description
Position Overview The GASES Assistant will serve as the main contact for the Environmental Studies Program, and the Department of Geography & Atmospheric Science departments. Job Description 30%
- Visitor and Communication Support Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Answer incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to appropriate staff or providing general information. Assist walk-ins with questions, forms, and basic guidance. 30%
- Digital and Print Media Manage email correspondence, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries. Create and distribute flyers for departmental events and announcements. Assist with website updates, social media posts, and other digital communication tasks to promote department initiatives. 30%
- General Office and Facilities Maintenance Distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate recipients. Perform general physical organization tasks, such as tidying common areas or sorting supplies. Assist with occasional light cleaning tasks, such as clearing out refrigerators or organizing storage areas. 10%
- Other Duties as Assigned Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors to support departmental needs.
