Main Campus General Summary The Women's Resource Center is seeking a full-time graduate assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year with the possibility of continuing through a second year. The graduate Assistant must have earned a bachelor's degree. This person will work under the supervision of the WRC Program Coordinator. The GA will provide event programming, teaching, facilitations, and administrative support for The Women's Resource Center within the Office of Access and Opportunity. The GA will focus on implementing and managing the WRC Educational Programs. Other responsibilities include office support, event development and facilitation, managing student-led programs, fundraising, assessing WRC Program standards, and other duties as assigned by the WRC Program Coordinator and the Director of the Office of Access and Opportunity. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Implement and manage campus wide educational programs marketing, facilitation and post them on the university calendar. Advising and consultations on sexual health care and resources. Manage women's history month programming in the months of March-April. Manage the #LeadLikeAGirl workshop program. Conduct research and training on awareness topics such as sexual education and health, sexual violence prevention, domestic violence prevention, mental health awareness, reproductive health, women's history, and other topics as requested. Assist with the development of ongoing WRC programs/projects, participate in leadership development initiatives, awareness month programming, etc.) Work with EMU Booking Event Planning to coordinate logistics for events, reserving space, order catering. Must be available to work some weekends for admission and recruitment initiatives. Must be available to work some evenings for signature student events and programs. Prepare monthly reports on student walk-ins and resource requests, and prepare semesterly impact reports related to WRC initiatives. Responsible for research and data entry for WRC programming in preparation for impact reports. Maintain a budget, order program, and resource products, stocking products, and clean the storage room. Update community resource guides and build relationships with community partners. Assist with creating, disseminating, and analyzing program evaluations and assessments. Create fliers, brochures, newsletters, and handle social media channels for marketing and on university outlets. Maintain weekly office hours in accordance with the graduate assistantship requirements (20/wk) Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Acceptance of an EMU graduate program related to the work of the Women's Resource Center. Basic knowledge of feminism, intersectionality, women's rights, oppression, discrimination, bias, gender equality, equity, sexual violence, domestic violence, sexual health, mental health, and social justice education. Excellent interpersonal communication, teaching, research, and facilitation skills. Strong public speaking, teaching, and writing skills. Strong organizational skills and experience with event planning and programming.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft word, google spreadsheets, Canva, Canvas, computer technology programs, Ai technology, data analysis and empirical research is preferred. Experience developing programs and working with teams is preferred.Special Instructions:
