Min Hourly Rate $15.05 (Standard); $14.05 (Non-Urban); $16.30 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.50 (Standard); $19.50 (Non-Urban); $22.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to hire a part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant position for the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science ( EECS ) at Oregon State University ( OSU ). This position performs a wide variety of work that supports the quality of education in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the university. Tekbot Developers work to create new and targeted solutions for education, industry and research. These positions can include multiple aspects, including electronic design, coding, mechanical design, web coding, hardware fabrication, store clerk sales, and tutorial/curriculum development. Position Duties 100% of duties to be determined by the hiring unit and can have multipleaspects including electronic design, coding, mechanical design, web coding,hardware fabrication, store clerk sales, and tutorial/curriculum development. 9 credit hours per term•International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ). Additional Required Qualifications Pursuing a degree in STEM Field. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively and professionally. Demonstrated ability to work both as a team and independently. Attention to detail and good personal organization. Preferred (Special) Qualifications Demonstrated experience in mentoring and instruction of engineeringstudents. A demonstratable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
