Bryn Mawr College wishes to hire two graduating seniors or recent graduates of Bryn Mawr College as Educational and Scholarly Technology Assistants. This position is a full-time, 12-month appointment starting May 11 or August 12. As members of Bryn Mawr's Library and Information Technology Services (LITS) department, EAST Assistants will help faculty, students and staff integrate digital technologies into their teaching, learning and research and will also support the Digital Scholarship, Makerspace, Digital Competencies and Data Science programs. The opportunity is designed to give recent Bryn Mawr graduates a chance to develop professional experience and digital competencies while helping to support the college's educational and scholarly mission. It is intended for graduates considering careers in education, instructional design or educational technology, computational research facilitation, library and information science, or information technology and data services. This full-time staff position has an anticipated schedule of 35 hours per week with an initial appointment of up to one year. Renewal for a second year may be possible subject to continued employment in good standing . This position is eligible for 22 days of vacation per year, three days personal leave, generous holiday time (including an extended winter break between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day), sick leave, disability insurance, life insurance, medical, dental, and vision, retirement, and more. Characteristic Responsibilities Provide technical support for digital technologies used in teaching, learning, research and making (such as Moodle, Zoom, Domain of One's Own, or 3D printing). Staff the Digital Media Collaboration lab and Makerspace. Organize and facilitate workshops and events for students, faculty, and staff. Participate in and manage digital technology projects. Create, maintain and curate self-help resources (e.g., tech documentation and video tutorials). Market technology-related services, opportunities, and events to the Bryn Mawr College community. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from Bryn Mawr College is required . Candidates for this position must be graduating seniors (Class of 2026) or recent graduates (Class of 2025) of Bryn Mawr College . Ability to learn new digital technologies and to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a higher education environment is essential. Coursework, skills, experience or interest in following: data science; coding or computer science; digital scholarship/humanities; makerspaces and the tools used there; digital audio or video production; web development; teaching and learning materials design; technical support or customer service; management (project, stage, event, people, etc.); marketing or social media campaigns; accessibility, assistive technology and universal design. Successful completion of satisfactory background checks is required .
