The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to hire one (1) student assistant to assist the Crash Coding and Data Analysis Unit and related activities under the Office of Highway System, Information, and Performance, in a learning capacity, under the close supervision of a Staff Services Manager I. Conditions of Employment This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. 16 per hour. Minimum Qualifications Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Must complete each term with minimum unit requirements for Undergraduate and Graduate student classifications. Proof will be collected at the end of each Spring and Fall term. Must be able to read maps, utilize a computer, and perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly. Ability to analyze quickly. Strong attention to detail. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of data organization and be able to organize large amounts of technical data. Duties and Responsibilities In a learning capacity, the Student Assistant will assist in collecting and sorting traffic crash reports TCRs). In a learning capacity, the Student Assistant will assist in the Personally Identifiable Information Redaction Program (PRP). related assignments. Working Conditions Work is performed in a hybrid environment. Students will be required to work in accordance with the current UEI remote workplace policy and to sign a UEI Work from Home Agreement.
