Job Description

We are seeking our next Part-Time Kids College Teacher Assistant - Moore County Campus who will be all-in on our mission and who will be creative, work well with children, and have a diverse skill set to share with others. Kids College classes included but are not limited to: sports, education, fitness, culinary, arts, computer, coding and painting.
EDUCATION
:
Required:
Currently working on High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
First Aid and CPR Certification.
EXPERIENCE
:

Successful Teaching Experience. Report directly to the Site Supervisor. Establish clear rules and expectation of the program with students. Assist teacher in maintaining order and structure during class. Be actively engaged and involved with students each day. Communicate clearly and respectfully with co-workers. Be flexible with lesson plans and activity changes. Ensure space is safe, clean and organized. Participate in and complete performance assessments/evaluations as assigned. Perform other related duties as required. Salary:
Amarillo College follows a lag pay strategy, with starting offers typically between the minimum and midpoint of the pay grade, rarely reaching the maximum to support long-term growth within each position. Pay grade 4 Amarillo College Pay Grades (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices and buildings, and requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull and/or maneuver office supplies as needed.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and varying events if necessary.)
Work Environment:
This position works in a childcare environment, requiring regular sanitation. Daily exposure to household cleaning supplies, frequently distracting noise levels and frequent interruptions.
