Job Description
The Adjunct Instructor of Accounting has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, teaching accounting courses and completing all duties associated with teaching. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. This is position reports to LSCPA's Business and Industrial Technology Department. Provide quality instruction Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives Attend faculty meetings Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a regionally accredited college or university Must have experience within the accounting field Work independently in the classroom Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Possess great time management and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Finance or Accounting Experience with Blackboard or other computerized teaching systems Teaching experience in higher education Teaching experience at a two-year collegePhysical Requirements:
Duties may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting or moving of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity are required to ensure effective instruction and safe supervision of students in classroom and/or laboratory settings.Similar remote jobs
