This Medical Radiography Residential Faculty position would have responsibilities for instruction in didactic courses and laboratories. The position would also assist with the supervision and clinical coordination of students in the program. The position includes participation in program policy, procedures and assessment. This role requires a Current National Certification through ARRT and licensed or eligible to be licensed through the state of Arizona.
Essential Functions Didactic/Laboratory Instruction:
Prepares and maintains course outlines and objectives, instructs and evaluates students, and reports progress. Supports the program director to help assure effective program operation, and cooperates with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials.
Clinical Coordination:
Correlates clinical education with didactic education, evaluates students, participates in didactic and/or clinical instruction. Coordinates clinical education and evaluates its effectiveness, participates in the assessment process, cooperates with the program director in periodic review and revision of clinical course materials. Maintains current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development, and maintains current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Service to
Department, Division, College, and District:
Engages in the operational and academic life of the department, college and district by participating in activities, meetings and committees. Performs other duties as assigned. This position requires teaching/clinical visits over the summer. Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR Three (3) years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor's degree or higher OR A Master's degree or higher in the teaching field OR A Master's degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR A Master's degree or higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field Desired Qualifications A. A bachelor's degree or higher B. Experience in a variety of medical imaging work environments C. One (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Radiologic Technology program D. Credentials in Computed Tomography (CT) E. Experience with curriculum development, course development, supervision, instruction, and evaluation F. Experience with involvement in activities or professional organizations that promote the profession of Radiologic Technology G. One (1) year full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years Special Working Conditions May be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations May be required to work evenings and weekends May be required to instruct at multiple sites and/or teach days, evenings or weekends May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen May require lifting objects weighing up to 25lbs Travel to campus during the interview/selection process will be at the candidate's own expense How to Apply Applicants are required to submit unofficial transcripts, resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV) and a cover letter showing how the applicant meets the minimum and desired qualifications.
