Foundational Curriculum provides an integrated approach to medical education, emphasizing the application of biomedical science, clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care through active learning. The CBI facilitators serve as a faculty facilitator for small-group, in-person case-based instruction sessions. This role performs assigned duties under the supervision of the associate dean of Foundational Curriculum, and requires engagement with block directors, coordinators and other faculty involved in the pre-clerkship curriculum. It is expected that the candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in an appropriate department, actively participate in medical student teaching and/or scholarly work, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor.
