Position description The Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, UCI School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Geneticist with expertise in cancer genetics to join our clinical and academic faculty of 12 geneticists and 12 genetic counselors. The Division provides outpatient care and inpatient consultation services to a diverse patient population in the cancer genetics clinics at UC Irvine Health, and in pediatric, metabolic, adult, and prenatal genetics clinics at UCI and our affiliated hospitals. Division faculty members also participate in didactic and clinical training of residents, fellows, genetic counseling graduate students, medical students, and other trainees, and provide community outreach. Clinical or translational research participation is possible and encouraged, and there are many possibilities for collaborative research.

UC Irvine Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine:

The faculty of the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine currently comprises 12 licensed certified genetic counselors and 11 MD or MD/PhD certified clinical geneticists, some of whom are also certified in clinical cytogenetics, medical biochemical genetics, and/or clinical molecular genetics. We are home to one of the first genetic counseling graduate programs and to ACGME-accredited Clinical Genetics and Genomics categorical and combined residency training programs.
