The Sports Medicine Instructor will collaborate with the Health Sciences Pathway Lead, industry partners, and higher education to implement curriculum pertaining to Sports Medicine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including Introduction to Exercise Science, Personal Training, Sports Medicine and more. See EPIC Course Catalog linked here for Health Sciences course descriptions. The instructor will begin teaching responsibilities in August. This is a 210-day contract beginning August 3, 2026 through June 17, 2027.DUTIES:
Instruct class using project-based curriculum that is industry relevant and allows students to earn industry certifications, concurrent enrollment, content credit and work-based learning experiences Collaboration with LPS teachers (CTE, content teachers, special service providers) Effective oral and written communication skills Support the overall goals of the Health Sciences Pathway, the EPIC Campus, and Littleton Public Schools Serving on advisory committees Assist with the EPIC Campus HOSA-Future Health Professionals Chapter Additional training as necessary Promoting the EPIC Campus and this pathway by connecting with students, parents, community members and industry partners Teach pathway-specific summer programming (minimum of 15 days, 4 hours per day) Schedule set by EPIC Campus Administration.EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Successful applicants must be properly licensed for assignment as a Professional Educator according to the Colorado Department of Education. The ideal candidate will possess or be able to possess: Relevant industry experiences including athletic training, sports medicine, personal training, emergency management, physical therapy or other relevant experience. Ability to create and maintain clinical relationships and autonomy to oversee students in the clinical setting. Master's degree in Exercise Health Science, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition or a related field and has/qualifies for postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 hours of non-teaching occupational hours within the last 5 years. Current industry-recognized certification such as ACSM or ACE to teach personal training or exercise-specific courses. The appropriate secondary Career and Technical Education credential aligned with the pathway is preferred (Health Science). Click here for credential information.
