Primary Purpose:
As a Program Director, directs the didactic and clinical care initiatives of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics to ensure residents meet course outcomes. Provides direct resident supervision in the clinics. May be given additional administrative duties. (Clinical Track)Job Category:

Director Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the didactic and clinical care initiatives of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics 2. Provides direct resident supervision in the clinic. 3. Facilitates the clinical experience for residents. 4. Monitors the emergency schedule and coverage during work hours and after work hours. 5. Serves as liaison between faculty, college administration, and residents. 6. Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements changes to improve efficiency. 7. Develops and reviews clinic policies and procedures. 8. Plans and conducts meetings with faculty, staff, and residents regarding clinic activities. 9. Designs and coordinates quality and outcomes measures for clinical, operational and research purposes. 10. Organizes necessary training/seminars for faculty and residents in the areas relevant to clinical dentistry as it relates to the necessary skills required by residents. 11. Monitors compliance with requirements set by NSU College of Dental Medicine. Other Assigned Duties 1. Collaborates with staff and colleagues to address teaching and research issues, and to improve students' learning experiences. 2. Serves on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues. 3. Participates in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities. 4. Mentors junior and adjunct faculty members. 5. Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences. 6. Completes projects as required. 7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.Job Requirements:

Knowledge:
1. Oral Healthcare- Comprehensive knowledge of the information and contemporary research techniques used in Dentistry to diagnose and treat patients. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative health-care measures. 2. Education and Training
- General knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. 3. English Language
- Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. 4. Customer and Personal Service
- General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

1. Certificate from an accredited U.S. advanced specialty program in Prosthodontics. 2. Board certified in the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics.Required Education:
DDS or DMD or equivalent foreign dental degree Major (if required:Required Experience:
Professional doctoral-level teaching experience or minimum of three (3) years of experience working in private practice, as an Prosthodontist.FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY
- For Assistant Professor rank: College-level teaching experience.
For Associate Professor rank:
Continued professional growth and success in full-time university teaching for four (4) years at the rank of Assistant Professor; scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization that have received peer recognition.For Professor rank:
Continued professional growth and success in full-time university teaching for five (5) years at the rank of Associate Professor; significant scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization that have that have been recognized as substantial by one's peers.Preferred Qualifications:
