JOB DESCRIPTION
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine is currently recruiting a full-time physician for the Division of Hospitalist. The Division is seeking an experienced physician who is highly motivated, forward thinking and passionate about advancing the field of women's health and who are committed to an academic career in general obstetrics and gynecology. Labor & Delivery / Inpatient Care Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care on Labor & Delivery, including: Antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management Care of high‑risk and medically complex obstetric patients in collaboration with MFM, anesthesia, neonatology, and nursing teams Perform obstetric procedures including: Vaginal deliveries Operative vaginal deliveries Cesarean deliveries Participate in inpatient call coverage consistent with departmental staffing models Support a 24/7 teaching environment, supervising and educating residents and medical students on L&D The College of Medicine plays an important role in the education of medical students, resident physicians and fellows through its collaboration with the UF Health Physicians practices, UF Health Shands Hospital, and the Malcolm Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our educational mission by teaching junior medical students, serving on hospital, medical and department committees, and participating in other department activities, including rounds, special lectures and postgraduate courses. In addition, faculty members are expected to participate in scholarly activities, including research and quality initiatives as appropriate for experience and interests.
EXPECTED SALARY
$332,154.00 Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Board eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for a Florida Medical License
PREFERRED
Board eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for a Florida Medical License Terminal doctoral degree in a clinical science such as MD or DO degree. Applicants with additional educational degrees such as an
MBA, MPH
