Neurosurgery - Clinical Faculty/Physician Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL Rush University Medical Center , a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Spine Neurosurgery at the Associate or Full Professor level. Duties & Responsibilities This full-time faculty position offers a comprehensive balance of advanced clinical practice, education, and scholarship.
Clinical Focus:
Provide expert inpatient and outpatient treatment for patients presenting with all types of spinal disorders. Surgical Scope:
Utilize state-of-the-art technology and innovative surgical techniques, with an emphasis on incorporating endoscopic spine surgery into practice. Schedule & Unit Capacity:
Standard faculty clinical and operative schedules, supporting a dedicated neurosciences/spine inpatient footprint of 32 beds and neurosciences ICU of 28 beds. Teaching & Supervision :
Required supervision and hands-on education of medical students, neurosurgery residents, and spine fellows. Research & Scholarship:
Engage in primary or collaborative research in spinal surgery, with opportunities to secure funding through the NIH, other federal agencies, philanthropy, or industry partnerships. Academic Leadership:
Maintain an ambition for active involvement and structural leadership within prominent national and international spinal surgical societies. Experience & Education Requirements We are seeking a highly motivated academic neurosurgeon with a proven track record of clinical excellence and professional ambition. Education:
Must possess an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree (or equivalent). Board Status:
Must be certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). Licensure:
Eligible for an unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Illinois. Preferred Training:
o Completion of fellowship training specifically focused on spinal surgery. Core Competencies:

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
