Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and serve as faculty in a Physician Residency Program. This role combines clinical responsibilities with teaching, mentorship, and program development to support the next generation of physicians. Physician Responsibilities Develop and implement effective patient care plans, including diagnostics, treatments, consultations, and referrals Manage continuity of care through proper scheduling, follow-ups, and tracking of chronic conditions, abnormal results, and missed appointments Deliver whole-person care by addressing biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors Coordinate referrals to specialists such as social workers, nutritionists, and mental health professionals Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Perform and document routine health screenings and preventive services Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care Adhere to infection control protocols and universal precautions Oversee residents in the management of hospital patients Document daily progress notes and respond to patient-related communications Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development Attend required meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions Faculty Responsibilities Support residency program operations, including coordinating clinical rotations Mentor and counsel residents on academic and clinical performance Participate in program evaluations and on-site reviews Assist in the recruitment and selection of residency candidates Teach and supervise medical students and residents Requirements Education & Training Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution Completion of an accredited residency program Board Certified or Board Eligible Active or eligible for state medical licensure DEA certification Current CPR certification Ongoing commitment to continuing medical education Skills & Competencies Strong patient-centered care and customer service skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting Technical Skills Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Participation in required training and quality improvement initiatives
