Job Duties:
Instruction in Paramedic program approved curriculum Evaluation and assessment of students in a clinical setting Participate with periodic review and revision of course materials Support and assist the Program Director to help assure effective program operation and accreditation Orient clinical site and EMS agency preceptors to ensure education objectives are met Schedule students with clinical sites and EMS agencies Maintain current knowledge of the discipline through continuing professional development Travel and instruction on various campuses may be required Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree (minimum) Knowledgeable about current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards and evidenced-informed clinical practice Current Paramedic license or current National Registry Paramedic certification Completion of a KBEMS approved EMS educator course that meets the objectives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and possess a valid KBEMS Paramedic Level Instructor certification Documented experience in emergency medicine/prehospital care
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, and attention to detail. Strong computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with others.
