The University of Michigan School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time clinical track faculty member at the Clinical Associate or Full Professor level within the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences and Endodontics (CRSE), Division of Endodontics. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. This position offers a potential pathway for the successful candidate to be considered for a future role as Director of the Graduate Program in Endodontics. The School and the CRSE Department are fully engaged in supporting a new model for dental education that includes evidence-based dentistry, a conservative (minimally-invasive) caries management philosophy, multi-disciplinary education, and digital dentistry. Candidates must have a certificate in endodontics from a CODA-accredited program, an MS/PhD (or equivalent degree), and be eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. Board certification by the American Board of Endodontics, or board eligibility, is required for this position. Qualifications include proven evidence-based teaching skills predominantly in graduate education settings, clinical proficiency in endodontics, and a record of research and scholarly activity. Candidates shall demonstrate a passion for graduate-level education, as evidenced by prior graduate clinical teaching experience and a desire to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should have an outstanding record of accomplishment in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. CRSE has an active mentorship program and provides ample opportunities for career development and national/international networking. Opportunities are also available for participation in either intramural faculty practice or extramural practice. Further information about the department may be obtained from the CRSE Website . The successful candidate will be appointed on the tenure track at the rank of professor or associate professor with a recruitment package commensurate with experience and credentials.
