commensurate with experience Position Summary •This is an onsite position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date. This faculty position may include program leadership duties.•Primary Duties Performed Provides didactic and laboratory education to students within the EMT program. Actively participates in teaching related activities including updating course profiles in Curriculum Information Management system, course syllabi, lectures, lab activities, and assessments. Supervises EMS adjunct faculty. Serve as a clinical coordinator. Prepares teaching assignments and completes workload paperwork. Ensures maintenance of leave request and attendance paperwork is completed according to Board Policies and Procedures. Modifies the EMT courses to meet the needs of the community of interest, as well as the policy and procedures set forth by the Bureau of EMS/MO. Evaluates the achievement of the program's goals and learning outcomes. Advises potential and current students who are interested in EMS coursework. Participates in public recruitment events. Assists students with application to the program. Organizes and conducts student orientations. Attends departmental / Advisory Board meetings. Maintains all state of Missouri requirements including but not limited to surveys, annual reports, and self-studies. Qualifications/Experience Current Missouri Paramedic license. Minimum of 5 years active field experience at level taught or higher. Associates or Bachelors (preferred) in related field. Completion of an instructor training program that meets or exceeds the United States Department of Transportation EMS Instructor 40 hours Curriculum or Fire Instructor I Experience as substitute or instructor
