Position Summary/Description:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term mental health therapist position at the Clinical Instructor level for the UNC Schizophrenia Evaluation and Treatment (STEP) Clinic in Raleigh, NC. The STEP Clinic provides comprehensive psychiatric and recovery services to more than 500 individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The therapist will engage in both in-person and telehealth sessions. Role responsibilities for this individual include: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to adults with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders and other psychiatric conditions; Complete comprehensive clinical assessments for diagnosis and treatment planning; Participate in clinic and health system continuous quality improvement initiatives; Provide education to patients and families as required; Maintain working knowledge of, and liaison with, community agencies and resources.; Engage in outreach and scheduling of assigned patient panel; Carry out other duties as assigned.
