Posting Details Posting Information Posting Number temp hourly1092P Quick Link for Internal Postings https://jobs.wcu.edu/postings/29343 Classification Title Working Title Clinical Instructor #C99775 Department School of Nursing Salary Range $12,000 Posting Information This position provides didactic, clinical, and simulation-based instruction to nurse anesthesia students within an accredited Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia program. Responsibilities include classroom teaching, facilitation of simulation experiences, student evaluation, and participation in course coordination activities as assigned. The instructor collaborates with program faculty to support student learning, clinical reasoning development, and preparation for safe anesthesia practice. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Demonstrated expertise in nurse anesthesia practice across perioperative settings. Ability to teach anesthesia principles, pharmacology, physiology, and clinical decision-making at the graduate level. Skill in simulation-based education, including scenario facilitation and structured debriefing. Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive, timely feedback. Strong interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for mentoring, coaching, and professional socialization of nurse anesthesia students. Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and high-quality clinical education. Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional academic and clinical environment. Proficiency with instructional technologies and learning management systems preferred. Minimum Qualifications Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) eligible for practice in North Carolina. Master's degree in nurse anesthesia. Current or eligible RN and APRN licensure in North Carolina. Clinical experience in nurse anesthesia practice sufficient to support graduate-level instruction. Preferred Qualifications Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree. Prior teaching experience in a nurse anesthesia or graduate nursing program. Experience with simulation education and competency-based evaluation. Demonstrated engagement in professional service, scholarship, or quality improvement initiatives.
