Job Description

Job Overview Austin Medical Assistant Training is looking to hire for an experienced Instructor in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program who exhibits strong communication skills and is willing to train students to become Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Candidates must have experience teaching in a classroom or/and in a synchronous environment and experience Clinical Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. We are seeking professionals to join the academic team . This position will be teaching in in-class courses in our campus . Classes will be assigned as enrollment dictates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans for students to include scheduled activities and materials of sequence. Plan instructions to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum. Mointer the attendance of students in the program and coordinate the program Director when absences occur two days in a row. Prepare attendance reports weekly for the office management department. Review student success rates and implement a plan to reduce student withdrawals. Maintain student grades in accordance with established policies. Prepare final grades at the end of each sequence to update student records and transcripts. Mointer the performance of students regarding achievements in curriculum and activities and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs. Prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for students in class and individually. Assisted and advised students with the diagnostic medical Sonography program curriculum. Monitor students in the laboratory. Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure safety precautions are adhered to. May assist and coordinate externships for diagnostic medical Sonography students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A
Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree from an academic accredited institution by an agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education Practical) experience in Sonography or a closely related field. Active registration/credential from a nationally recognized Sonography-credentialing agency (RDMS) or related . Possess the appropriate credential(s) specific to one or more of the concentration(s) offered (AB, OB/GYN). Current license, certification, or other credential required by local, state, and/or federal laws to work in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography field. Verbal and written communication skills. of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and computer skills.
