No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Department of Medicine seeks the next Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition who will elevate the Division to the highest national and international levels and lead the Division into the next sustained era of accomplishment. Growing a transformational research program, developing the next generation of academic leaders, and expansion in clinical services are the key ingredients to the continued growth and success of the Division of Gastroenterology. Job duties:

Applicants for Associate Professor, in the non-tenure or tenured, should have five or more years of experience in related scientific research; have independent, external research funding and a substantial record of peer-reviewed publications; have significant teaching experience; and demonstrate the capacity for sustained, impactful, and independent scholarly contributions and leadership. Applicants for Professor, in the non-tenure or tenured, will have served five to seven years as Associate Professor. The rank of professor recognizes the attainment of authoritative knowledge and reputation in a recognized field of learning and the achievement of effective teaching skills. The professor should have attained superior stature in their field through scholarship, professional practice, and leadership in professional and learned organizations.

Job Duties:

Develop, communicate, and implement a vision for the provision of Division Services within the Health System, incorporating all aspects of the mission statement

Work collaboratively with Health System and Division Leadership to achieve the delivery of high value health care while meeting the workforce demands for physician and extender support.
